Misplaced to stage Forward, by Marley Starkey-Joyner.
SOLD OUT.
‘Do you have any idea how hard it is to get from purgatory back to earth?’
Synopsis
Young, fiery Amina is recently deceased and now a ghost. She finds herself trapped in her old apartment with the new occupant – the fragile, tearful Freyja, who has suffered her own major loss. The seemingly incompatible characters start to reignite traits they both thought were long lost within themselves.
Forward is a story about friendship, losing someone and losing yourself and the joys of being alive.
Written and directed by Marley Starkey-Joyner, Forward was first performed as part of Bath’s Sparkfest Theatre Festival.
Reviews of Forward
“A charming and witty exploration of grief that perfectly balances the
poignant and the hilarious. Written with warmth and honesty, Forward
doesn’t take itself too seriously, yet never fails to land the emotional gut punches that turn it from good theatre into great theatre” – Douglas Murdoch, Greedy Pig Theatre Company.
