Misplaced are excited to return to The Alma Tavern Theatre with this mesmerising Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning play. Made into a film with Meryl Streep and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, Shanley’s work is a lean, potent drama of suspicion and manipulation.
In a Bronx Catholic school in 1964, a year after the assassination of John F Kennedy, Sister Aloysius, the severely conservative and fear-inspiring School Principal, learns that the popular school priest Father Flynn has taken ‘special interest’ in a troubled twelve-year old African American student. She sets about uncovering the perceived sexual abuse with a vengeance, setting off a chain of events which threatens to dismantle the community.

Father Brendan Flynn – Connor Wulfric
Connor Wulfric is an accomplished Actor hailing from the South of England. With a passion for the art of performance, Connor is thrilled to take on the challenging role of Father Flynn in Misplaced Theatre’s production of ‘Doubt’. Throughout his career, Connor has honed his skills in the realms of Film, TV, and Stage, establishing himself as a versatile and dedicated artist.
Known for his impeccable work ethic, Connor places great importance on character preparation and development, ensuring that he brings depth and authenticity to every role he undertakes. Among his notable achievements, Connor’s portrayal of ‘Aaron’ in the critically acclaimed film ‘Censure’ earned him numerous Best Actor accolades, solidifying his reputation as a talent to be reckoned with. With ‘Doubt’, Connor embraces the opportunity to leave his mark on this iconic story, eager to bring his unique perspective and interpretation to the stage.
Sister Aloysius Beauvier – Amy Tanner
Amy has been involved with Bristol and London based theatre companies since the 1980s. Performing in her teenage years with Bristol Youth Theatre Workshop and the National Youth Music Theatre she then went on to study at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Amy became part of the burgeoning pub theatre scene in Bristol working with theatre companies Riff Raff and Kickswift; taking part in productions such as Lulu, Comedy of Errors, Sweeney Todd and East.
Later as a mature student she studied Drama and Documentary Film at the University of the West of England which led to working as a film/television tutor for a children’s drama academy for several years before she decided to become a private acting coach.
Sister James – Alice Coles
Alice Coles is an actor and creator of the web series ‘Stark Shakespeare.’
Since her training with National Youth Theatre and Birmingham Conservatoire, her theatre credits include: New writing at the Soho Theatre, Arts Theatre & Top Secret Comedy Club Covent Garden. Shakespeare productions at Birmingham Repertory (Hero in ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ & Miranda in ‘The Tempest’) & Oxford Shakespeare Company (Viola ‘Twelfth Night’, Maria ‘Love’s Labour’s Lost’), directed by Nicholas Lloyd Webber/Nick Green. Off-West End period productions at the Rosemary Branch, Amersham Arms and Brockley Jack Theatres.
On screen she has recently wrapped on an award-winning short film, premiering this year.
She has worked with production companies on commercials and music videos for ‘Academy Films’, ‘Blind Eye Productions’ ‘Rattling Stick’, ‘Universal/Rondo’, ‘Erase Creative’ & ‘Cavendish Fante’. In Bristol – ‘Happy Hour Productions’ & ‘Screenology’ and short film Prelude, directed by Will Thorp.

Mrs. Muller – Corinne Walker
Corinne Walker is a performer, theatre-maker, writer and creative producer. An East 15 Acting School graduate, she is passionate about championing underrepresented regional talent and telling fresh stories based in the South West. As a performer she has worked extensively with Beyond Face including Bigger than Lyrics (2023), Alright Petal (2019) and Who’s Looking Back at You? (2018). She is currently developing her own show, The Fight Well Project. She was also the sole actor in Offie-nominated Illusions of Liberty (Kings Head Theatre). Other acting credits include Three Kings (Travelling Light Theatre Company) and feature film House of Bricks.
